Introducing 2010-11 MRIA National Board and Officers
MRIA members and the Councils and Divisions of the Association recently elected or acclaimed 10 experienced industry leaders to the Association's National Board of Directors for a two-year term, 2010-11 and 2011-12. MRIA Research Registration System
This is a Call To Action to MRIA Client-Side Researcher Corporate members; and a Call To Re-commitment on the part of Corporate Research Agency members. All Gold Seal and Basic Corporate Research Agency members of the Association are obligated to register all of their research projects with MRIA's Research Registration System, and Client-Side Corporate members are encouraged to insist that their agency suppliers do so. NOW is the time to join as new Individual or Corporate members

MRIA introduces pro-rated membership dues and fees for first-time members of the Association, for a membership ending on December 31, 2010, at the following discounted rates:

  • New Individual members can join for seven months at the reduced rate of $235 (plus $65 Activation Fee plus applicable taxes). Please inform your friends and colleagues in the industry, and enroll your new employees so they can start receiving the benefits of MRIA membership.
  • New Corporate representatives can join for seven months, at the reduced rate of $235 (plus GST), which includes an Individual membership for the Corporate representative (a $65 Initiation Fee still applies). Preferred Research Registration fees have also been pro-rated for this seven-month period.

Small Business Lions’ Lair – A collaborative and challenging way to drive business improvement and turn insight into action.

A presentation outlining a collaborative effort between Vodafone (U.K.) and ACM Research to gain more insight into the small business market. The Lions’ Lair technique was introduced as a creative tool to remove Vodafone from their standard product and service development and put them into direct contact with their small business customers. La grande gagnante du concours de la relève 2010 est... Le 5 mai dernier, lors de la grande finale du concours de la relève à l'hôtel Delta, les 3 finalistes du concours présentaient leur proposition de recherche devant la communauté de la recherche. Félicitations aux 3 gagnantes du concours, elles peuvent être très fières de leur accomplissement. Émilie-Anouk a reçu une bourse de 3000 $, Cassandra Ranno 2000 $ et Magalie Rioux 1000 $.

And, the winner is... On May 5th, during the grand finale in our marketing research contest, held at the Delta Hotel, the three finalists in our student competition for 2010 presented their projects to the research community. Congratulations to the three contest winners, all of whom can certainly be very proud of their accomplishments. Émilie-Anouk received a $3000 prize, Cassandra Ranno $2000 et Magalie Rioux $1000.

MRIA BC will announce the winners of the 2010 Student Marketing Research Competition, designed to fuel in-depth marketing, advertising, social, and political research, on June 15 2010. Three prizes will be awarded: First place: $1000 cash, Second place: $500, and Third place: $200.

The 2009 Student Marketing Research Competition Award Winners are as follows:

  • 2nd Place: Leah Elmer, Carmel Frandsen, Laura Heywood, Michelle Lam, BCIT
